Independent Clinical Solutions for your Individual Needs
I’m a front-line therapist with a fundamental belief that individuals are not defined by their diagnosis or set of symptoms. Therapy is not a path of continued success– it is a path of multiple challenges some known and some to be discovered. With the resolution of each challenge there is growth nourished by increased resiliency. And, instilled with hope, the mind and body are one possessing its own potential to recover fully. The closer we are bound to hope and resiliency the more they bear our burdens freeing us from debilitating symptoms — as hope anchors the soul!
Utilizing a holistic and eclectic approach we will work together to identify and focus on areas of existing (yet often overlooked) strengths for the purpose of developing and instilling new skills. My intention as a therapist: to provide a supportive atmosphere rooted in dignity and respect assisting in identifying and achieving desired results such as
- relief from overwhelming and/or debilitating behavioral health symptoms
- developed insight, hope, and resiliency
- resolving conflicts and improving relationships
I enjoy a diverse caseload and am open to working with all individuals above the age of eighteen. Specifically, I have expertise in
- Suicidality
- Trauma related disorders
- Depression and Anxiety
- Addiction and co-occurring disorders
- Symptom management
- Life transitions
I rely heavily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for its distinction between behaviors and thoughts in direct partnership with narrative theory for its explanation of how we use our stories to interpret and ultimately define (and/or redefine) our lives. And, if appropriate, we may choose to use Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to somatically disarm highly charged life events and/or traumatic memories.
