Hi All,

I’m a front-line social worker, therapist, and program manager described by my peers as “an honest, driven, and passionate advocate for those unable to help themselves–innately believing in others, organizations, and systems when they aren’t able to believe in themselves.”  I come fully equipped with over 20+ years of combined direct non-profit and executive management experience advocating on local, state, and federal levels on behalf of individuals and families experiencing homelessness; supporting the direct recovery of trauma and domestic violence survivors; and, assisting individuals and families to both manage and recover from complex behavioral health challenges.

Maybe you noticed the clue in my logo that I’m a native Rhode Islander?  I migrated south to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as English Language and Literature from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.  Eventually I settled in Washington DC where I earned a master’s in social work from Gallaudet University.  Currently, I hold a license for independent clinical social work practice in both The Commonwealth of Virginia and The District of Columbia.

I’m an avid pet lover and my two kitties Zuzu and Chester allow me to share their home in Arlington VA.  My favorite pastimes include reading, knitting, hiking, and travel– particularly when the last two are combined!  My motto:  Have Passport, Will Travel!  Check out the photos on the website—they’re just a small “snapshot” of the many national parks I’ve been blessed to visit.
